Negin Saffron

  • Description

    Negin saffron is the highest quality saffron available, often referred to as "superior" saffron. It consists of the red stigmas (the part of the saffron flower that is harvested) with no yellow or white parts.

  • Appearance

    Negin threads are long, thick, and deeply red, with no breaks or yellow parts.

  • Aroma and Flavor:

    It has the strongest aroma, vibrant color, and intense flavor due to the high concentration of crocin (color), safranal (aroma), and picrocrocin (flavor).

  • Uses

    This premium saffron is used in luxury dishes and high-end products where strong color and aroma are desired.

  • Description

    Sargol saffron is also very high quality but slightly lower than Negin. It consists only of the red stigma tips, but these are shorter and thinner compared to Negin saffron.

  • Appearance

    Pure red threads with no yellow or white parts, but the threads are smaller and may be broken.

  • Aroma and Flavor

    Strong color and aroma, similar to Negin but slightly less intense.

  • Uses

    Commonly used in cooking for dishes where bright color and strong flavor are important, such as in Persian rice dishes or Mediterranean cuisine.

  • Description

    Pushal saffron includes the red stigmas along with some yellow parts of the style (the part of the plant that holds the stigma). It has slightly more of the style, making it less pure than Sargol or Negin.

  • Appearance

    Contains both red and yellow threads, with more yellow than higher grades.

  • Aroma and Flavor

    Good aroma and color but not as potent as Sargol or Negin.

  • Uses

    Common in commercial cooking and for those who want saffron at a lower price but still with good flavor and color.
